Drive Setting
Drive Setting: GeoMaster documentation for the cloud geosteering platform.
Drive
Drive is GeoMaster's built-in file storage — every file you upload directly, plus files created by imports, WITSML ingestion, and support ticket attachments, all in one place, grouped by well.
Opening Drive
Click Drive in the left sidebar.

Storage Usage
A bar at the top shows how much of your plan's storage you've used: X GB used of Y GB (Z% used), plus your total file count. The bar changes colour as you approach your limit (green → amber → red near/at 100%).
If your account's storage is in a grace period (e.g. after a lapsed subscription), a warning banner appears here telling you to renew before data is deleted.

Finding Files
The filter bar above the file list lets you narrow things down:
| Control | Options |
|---|---|
| Search | Free-text search by file name |
| Type | All Types, LAS, DLIS, CSV, TXT, WITSML, Image, PDF, Document, Excel, Horizon, Other |
| Source | All Sources, Well Import, WITSML Ingest, Ticket Attachment, Drive Upload |
Click Clear Filters (appears once any filter is active) to reset. Files are listed in tables grouped by well — files not linked to any well appear under an Unassigned group.

Uploading a File
-
Click Upload File (top-right of the filter bar, or the same button shown in the empty state if you have no files yet).
-
Choose a file. Accepted types: LAS, DLIS, CSV, TXT, XML, WITSML, IRAP, ZMAP, PNG/JPG/TIFF, PDF, DOC/DOCX, XLSX/XLS.
-
Optionally, associate it with a well from the dropdown (leave as "— No well —" to leave it unassigned).
-
Optionally, give it a custom Name — if left blank, the original filename is used.
-
Click Upload.
If you're at your storage quota, uploading is blocked with a message to delete files or upgrade your plan.

Managing an Existing File
Each file row has a ⋯ menu with three actions:
-
Download — opens a new tab and starts the download.
-
Edit — rename the file and/or reassign which well it's linked to.
-
Delete — permanent; asks for confirmation. If the file is a WITSML object, an extra warning notes it may still be referenced by active geosteering data.
